What is agentic web integration, and is it worth doing yet?
It adds Model Context Protocol tools to your site so an AI agent can browse, search and act on it using structured commands rather than reading screenshots. Whether it is worth doing now depends on your buyers: if a meaningful share already ask an assistant to shop or book on their behalf, being one of the sites that answers structured requests properly is an advantage; if that is not yet how your customers arrive, it is reasonable to wait. We will tell you honestly which side of that line your business sits on rather than sell the build regardless.
What decides what it costs?
Three things: how many actions an agent needs to complete on your site — search and browse is a small build, add-to-cart and checkout is larger — whether your platform exposes those actions through an existing API or we have to build the bridge ourselves, and how much your workflow deviates from the platform’s standard flow. A Shopify or WooCommerce store on a standard checkout is the shortest build; a bespoke platform or a non-standard order process is longer. We quote a fixed price against a written scope after seeing your actual site, never a day rate.
What happens if an agent does something wrong on our site — adds the wrong item, or checks out incorrectly?
The tools we expose are scoped narrowly and tested against the same edge cases a person could trigger: an out-of-stock item, an invalid quantity, a broken discount code. Anything that commits money or a customer record runs through the same validation your normal checkout enforces — an MCP tool does not bypass your platform’s own rules, it calls the same APIs a customer’s browser would. Every action is logged, so if something does go wrong you can see exactly what the agent sent and we fix the tool, not just the transaction.
Who owns the integration if we stop working together?
You do. The MCP server and its configuration are built on your platform and your hosting, in your company’s name, not ours. If you use our WebMCP plugin, the code is a normal WordPress plugin you keep either way. There is no dependency on an account of ours that could be switched off, and another developer can read and maintain what we hand over.
Why not just use the WebMCP plugin instead of a bespoke build?
If you run WordPress or WooCommerce, the plugin is usually the right starting point and the cheaper route, and we will point you at it rather than quote a bespoke build you do not need. A bespoke integration earns its place when your platform is not WordPress, when your checkout or catalogue has custom logic the plugin does not cover, or when you need tools beyond browsing and buying — booking, quoting, account actions. We will tell you on the discovery call which one actually fits, including when the honest answer is neither, yet.
How do we know you will still be here to maintain it as the standard changes?
A fair question for a protocol this new. Because the build sits on an open standard rather than anything proprietary to us, and runs on your own platform and accounts, another developer can pick it up if we are not available — you are not locked into our maintenance. You own the result

A fixed price, never a day rate
Every project is quoted as a fixed price with a written scope after the call, so an over-run is our problem rather than yours. If the scope changes, we say so and re-quote before doing the work, not after.
Where your data sits
In the UK or EU, under a data processing agreement, kept only as long as you specify. Any model provider we rely on is named as a sub-processor rather than left implicit, and we will tell you plainly where something you have asked for would put a commitment of yours at risk.
What happens when it goes wrong
Agreed before launch rather than negotiated during an incident: what is covered, how quickly we respond, and what counts as new work. Every build has a defined escalation to a person, because the failure that costs you is the one nobody noticed.
